Totally Thames Festival – 泰晤士河節

This September, the annual festival celebrating the River Thames returns with a month-long lineup of art, theatre, music, film, tours, and cruises along the river’s 42-mile stretch. The festival also features a variety of kids’ activities, including children’s choirs and art workshops where they can create their own pop-up version of Tower Bridge.

Sheep Drive & Livery Fair 2024

The annual Sheep Drive, a long-established charity event, celebrates the ancient right of Freemen to bring sheep to market toll-free over the Thames. This year, the event will be held on Southwark Bridge, open only to registered Freemen and their guests. The event raises funds for The Woolmen Charity and The Lord Mayor’s Appeal. Alongside the Sheep Drive, the Livery Fair on Queen Street offers visitors a chance to learn about the event and the causes it supports, with interactive displays from wool and livery companies, blade shearing demonstrations, and rare breed sheep. It highlights the lasting contributions of London’s livery companies to sustainable trades and charity.
